You can get laid up cover at a reduced price, i'm sure with most though it has to be garaged or at least thats what i found out when making enquries!

Adrian Flux worked out best for me, but I'm using the car full time, so far.

Oh I'm 32 (only yesterday) with 9 years ncb, but only TPF&T, but can drive other cars TP on my insurance...strange I thought.

Cost around £495 I believe.

lynbrooke wouldn't insure me as my Zed is parked in a residential car park. ???!!

same here and i tried a fair few! ...but yes that is strange i thought that was only with fully comp :/

Give adrian flux a try they quoted a very cheap price for me as long as it was garaged, not sure if it was just as i was insured with them already but worth a try :)

I'm sure Admiral gave me laid up cover a couple of winters back and is why i went back to them earlier this year so try them? I thought most insurers did it, but maybe only after you're covered on a normal policy? AOtherwise they get little money and you know what greedy bar stewards they are! Been meaning to amend mine as it's been SORN since October but forgot to do this so will call them this week and let you know how i get on...

do a quick search on here mate, lots of threads on insurance...

Been on the phone to over 50 insurers. Quotes ranging from, £1500 to £550. All classic car policies with agreed value. Most say its so high because I have made a claim. even though it was arson. Anyway long story short rang a company called heritage insurance. They just quoted me £189. Nearly had a heart attack.

hi,regards to insurance... im with aquote 9 years ncd, parked outside, fully comp.

premium £366.12

policy fee £27.90

legal expenses £24.00

My Quote was on a classic car policy with limited mileage. garaged at night. agreed value. I am 46. 20 years ncd. You don't need ncd on the classic policy. Lucky its not my daily driver.

Who's that with Mark? I'm going to try and get my Zed, two vans and possibly an MX5 all on one policy. Not due yet, but want to get it all sorted.

it's trade insurance through the insurance factory, it's the way forward these days with all the quotes going sky high.

Ellens renewal on the 350 was £1400! compaired to £800 last year.

its cheaper for us to be insured fully comp on every and any car with trade insurance than it is for her to be insured on one car. go figure??

Im with chaucer through performance direct. fully comp £155 with 5000 miles limit. im 42
