There are no locating bits for it to sit in a particular rotation. You could use a little sealer smeared on the rim edge to hold it in place, while you place the pipe back over.

Plenum: i used a can of degreaser stuff which foams up, when sprayed. Spray in lots, leave for a bit and hose out with water, then i used a hairdryer to help dry the inside, and leave to dry fully for a few days.

Might be other techniques, but that seemed to do the trick.

CheerZ Dudes!!!! Just back in from doing it, I tried a bit of both methods!!

1st I sprayed engine gunk into the plenum in all directions, left it to soak all the crap up for 20 mins and then stuck the Karcher down the holes and jet washed the whole thing out!! worked a treat and looks like new inside now, taaa very mucho

and the thermo is on now, I knew which way it went in but wasnt sure if it needed to be in a particular rotation, but it seems ok, all ready for the big switch on tommorrow, once the plenum is dry!!!

whooooo

with the thermo i think it does actually have to go in a curtain way. it has a small nipple on it which has to go at the top. you can see it in his pic and its at the top:)

Yeh nice one dude, Luckily thats how I guessed it should go, and then looked at the picture from Groover, dead lucky as the silicon was setting!!!

PMSL!!

Actuall theres an idea. We used to put some petrol in brake drums, set them alight to get rid of the oil and crap on them. Not sure if i really want to try that on alloy though

useless info - its called a "jiggle pin" (yes, really!) & is used to help fill the system by allowing air to bleed through it :smartass:

No, thats usefull, thanks!! I did wonder what it was for, I thought it was a safety relief valve, thats why i put it at the top,
