I read in another thread that import owners should have a certificate.

 

Well, I don't have one.

 

Do many others have a certificate, and does it really matter. I have the red V5 and my car was imported in 1990 if memory serves.

 

As far as I know I'm legal. :shifty:

iv had mine for a while and have never had the import certificate

its doubtful the car was imported as early as 1990 but whenever it was the certificate is only needed for first uk registration . once its on the uk data base you dont need to worry about a certificate .

If u want one just contact nissan japan. I had a copy of the import certificate but they sent me an original last yr.

Have owned about 15 different imports. Never seen an Import certificate, Im sure thats just what the Importer uses to register the Vehicle with DVLA.

 

Occasionly had the Auction report showing Auction grade and spec, thats it.
