hey everyone, and happy new year to you all!

does anyone know how i can stop my cat eating all my house-plants, not only does it destroy the plants, but they might be poisonous to her.

shes 15 now, so theres not a chance in hell of me training her not to, i was just wondering if theres anything i could spray on ?

cheers everyone

15 years down the line and its a bit late now

Should have toed it up the behind in the very early days and it would have learnt then

i had 15 "plants" once, not the average houseplant if u know wot i mean, came home to find my cat with a big on his face and all the leaves eaten

orange peel around the base of the plants

good idea, anything citrus based as cats hate citrus. thats the basis of these anti chew sprays etc

iirc you used to get a pepper dust that you could sprinkle around areas that you didn't want your cat going. Although, citrus peel would also work.

Yeah big problem for us finding dead mice all over the house. We lock the flap up after about 10pm. Its mainly at night the mice come out.

Yep, onion, or any acidic fruits lemon lime orange etc should do the trick.

Bitter apple spray available from pet shops. just spray it on, shouldnt damge the plants but the kitty will soon get the message,

have a look at this link

Thats a good one, I used lemon juice diluted with water in a sprayer. It evaporates off the leaves and isnt hugely sticky, it did put our cat off this stupid trick, but does have to be re-done every few weeks.

Give her a little patch of cat nip. She`ll be too stoned to care about the rest.

Found this for people having trouble with their cats bringing in local livestock...
