Okay so I'm now officially on my rescue mission for my car. the old girl has been sat in a hotel car park for more than 2 weeks due to the snow 200 miles from where I live after my works Xmas do. Doh!

So I'm currently waiting for a train Which late (brilliant!) to take me to Glasgow where I'm going to meet a colleague who is going to take me to stirling. I have with me everything I can think of that I might need to get it started and home including recovery documents!

Wish me luck guys!

11:55 train due at 12:23.... Here's to hoping!

Good luck Quavey, make it an adventure rather than a task, get yourself an engine booster pack, jump leads and tyre inflator in one, only £25 for a cheepo one from the Range, but always a great get me home unit, have a good day

Yeah I have been meaning to get one of those. Sadly though I just have some big jumpleads and a diesel v8 range rover sport. Should do the trick!

Just about to come into

Glasgow central... 2:25 so quick dash to cambuslang...

it's a good 3 hour drive from stirling to Lancaster so im guessing that he's probably within 30minutes to an hour from home.

Just :)

hope all is going well bud.

Thanks mate

Hope your safely on your way back mate :sailor:

I was at the time :)

probably didnt start and he is currently cursing the fact he actually didnt leave it there and its actually tucked up in his garage. lol

I wish I was allowed space in my garage, although when I buy a house there will be a special house just for the zed to sit and rot in... lol

I did slightly better than you might think.

Train got into glasgow central at 2:25, i got a 2:34 to motherwell and left at cambuslang. Dived into a waiting rangerover and drove accross the stirling. Got there about 3:30.

Amazingly after all the preperation, 2 weeks 3 days in the cold with up to -15/20 temperatures. Showed the old girl a key and it started first time perfectly.

So after chipping all the ice of and letting it warm up slowly at idle (I know not ideal but i would rather do it that way incase a rad hose had split or anything) we were ready to go. So I left stirling at 3:45 and was home just after 7.

Biggest problems with the adventure were I suppose the traffic on the A80 (boo) and coming of at J13 for fuel it appeared to be a little more slippery than I first though.... Only my new found GT5 drifting skills saved me from a rearwards entry onto the round about at the bottom of the slip road!

Phew... tired now, 180 miles with crap lights! Dont think I have ever driven a 300zx as far in the dark before.

glad to hear you got home ok, chris.

Treating the old girl to a set of HID's then?

lol it has HID's they just are still fairly poor. Still dont know why, a cheap crap HID kit I think. I have re terminated the connectors and its made a big difference but still not good enough.

good to see you and the zed are safe

Cheers mate good to have it home to be honest. Been a bit weird it not being on the drive.
