thats terrible mate, thats someone's pet animal cruelty should not be tolerated

I agree with Allan - DON'T start the car. It's just cruel:thumbdown:

I wondered how a cat got in there - either you have a small cat or a bloody great dustbin for an exhaust!!

If the cat cannot turn around it's probably going to have a problem coming out of its own accord.

Dismantle the exhaust or call the fire brigade.....

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

wont damage the car but could drown the cat

if its your cat then you should be trying everything to get the cat out safely and before it freezes to death

Hi stellaz as from begining of post i been here now 4 hours 40 mins,

So i am trying.

I have called RAC and they laughed and put phone down,

Just calling them back, unaceptable

There is a small piece of iron that sits just down stream from the turbo's. It is standard on all Zed's but sometimes people fit it to Supra's and GTO's etc to try an increase their credability. When the cat finally comes out, take the car to a specialist and ask them to remove the pussy magnet.

if it wasn't for the fact i have my kids tonight and the Mrs is out, id pop down and take the exhaust off for you.

Try jacking the front of the car up, it will give an incline and hopefully make it easier for the cat to rear out, its more likely to be scared of all the the things you are trying to do to get it out.

They can't refuse to attend a call out? Surely...

I agree that the poor thing has gone up and got stuck. You need to take the exhaust of, if you cant do it for whatever reason then get someone down who can. DO NOT start the car as the shock and gasses well most likely kill it.

Poor thing, should teach people to have such stupidly large and pointless exhausts!

I rang chingford fire station, direct and said, that if the car was in use and needed to be used or danger to the public then will attend.

They said they get these calls allot

Dial 999 and make it official. I know a cat isn't a human but it's life is in danger.

Problem is, in this country a cat isn't worth it to the local fuzz or brigade. i know it sounds heartless, but if you hit a cat you are under no obligation to stop, yet if it is a dog on the other hand, its a offence to drive away with out checking to make sure the dog is ok and not harmed.

Cats can do some pretty amazing things, if the RSPCA think it will come out at some point, don't do anything too rash. We had a cat once that got trapped under the floor, tried everything to get it out but it wouldn't budge. After about 7 hours we assumed that we would have to lift the floorboards up. Went out to buy a wrecking bar and when we got back the cat was waiting for us in the kitchen!

I know mate, it's sad, my cats are very precious to me and there is nothing I wouldn't do to save them.
