I am really interested to know how many of us use our cars extensively. As I run my own business, I use mine nearly every day and mostly longer trips. It's a great talking point and people rarely know what it is.

 

In the last 13 months I have clocked up over 14,000 miles and that includes 6 weeks off the road waiting for the heater matrix to be replaced...

 

What sort of mileage are you all doing?

If I was feeling energetic I could probs push it a metre, but then I would have to put the wheels back on :sad:

i reckon i'll do about 5k this year - its a daily driver, but its only a 5 mile round trip to work :)

 

I am planning on driving down to the french alps next summer, which will add 1500 miles to the clock.

I'll try and do 5000 miles.....

 

....I have just renewed my classic insurance on that mileage basis and I'll make damn sure I get my money's worth!!

About 5000 miles per year but now with second zed it will be shared between the two.(Both of the road in Winter)

Loads.... as many as possible really - Driving my little scirocco recently has got me hankering for getting the big boy back on the road pronto.

Something around the 3.5k mark so far, but ive got 5k to spend before the end of january. So I'll make an effort to use them if I can afford it LOL

So far ive done about 10 miles.

Plan to do more when its not smoking like a house on fire!!

9000 KM this year, and although i know i should put it away for the winter my ford focus just isnt the same to drive!

Interesting stuff...any high annual mileages out there?

1.5K Euro tirp in March, other car shows, local meets, and general driving.... around 3K total i would guess for me

Owned z for nearly six years, havnt ever done more than 1000 miles a year

been to birmingham twice this year and brighton once, otherwise i only drive the zed lady once a week; to go home and come back, only about 11 miles each way, so altogether about 2000miles for this year.

According to the past MOT's Dave did 6000 miles in 7 years, I've managed just 500 miles since buying it in April. Will hopefully manage a few more next year!

Now this has got me thinking...many of you seem to have low mileage due to mods/rebuilds, slight technical setbacks (such as exploding engines etc) or you only take your pride and joy out in the sun etc...maybe I should have asked..."how many miles have you actually done in your Zed and how many would you really like to be doing?"

Would like to drive it as my daily but I do 30-40k in my company car!

if it werent for dang fuel costs, i'd be doing 80 mile round trips every weekend in it, visiting parents, daily drives...

 

actually, if it werent for fuel prices and traffic, i'd probably intentionally find a job 20 miles away so i have a 40 mile commute!

 

I'm loving my zed!

ive done 13k so far this year, mainly due to the 50mile round trip to work everyday, inc some long drives and days out. As im quite young it didnt justify running 2 cars with insurance etc this year, but next year a 2 car policy should even things out.
