I've got the silicon tube pack from the Zcentre, I know it can't be used for petrol or oil but can I use it for the plenum water bypass?

 

Or do I need some coolant hose?

I wouldnt use vacuum silicone piping its needs the strength in the side walls like this stuff that i will be using

I personally think it's too soft a pipe for the job!

 

I bought the same kit not long ago and decided to buy fuel hose instead!

 

Much thicker and less chance of springing a leak !

bugger, I've bought some 8mm fuel hose for it now :(

Don't use the 8mm silicone for fuel or oil :eek: It hasn't got a high enough pressure rating and is not compatiable with fuel anyway, you can get a fluro lined version for petrol but better just sticking to proper fuel hose.

He's using it for coolant^ I personally wouldn't unless it was REALLY hard to get hold of some proper coolant piping just for peace of mind.
