the voice of experience? What do i need to know other then patience!

No the seized turbo on mine was the drivers side! had t otake the fecking engine out to do it lol, but wouldn't have had to if it was the passenger side.

It is not an easy job and really can only be done on a ramp. I do not know of anyone who has done this on axle stands at home, so come on someone, spill the beans.

Now that is a job I would hate to do at home lol I cant believe it is even possible...

i have done passanger side on axle stands at home, it aint that bad undo the 4 bolts that let 1end of the turbo swivel knock turbo round a little then you will be able to get to the1 manifold bolt i couldnt get too, then turbo will come off with the manifold.

done drivers side on a ramp if you remove master cylinder and bar coming from steering wheel to rack gives you some room,

both with engine in the car,

the workshop manual im sure says to do them with engine in the car too.

their fiddly but can b done,

goodluck.

Yes you should get a medal for that bud! I know its possible but no way on earth mine would have come off like that I had to hacksaw a bolt off mine!.

thats the thing with zeds and most cars my car as had the gearbox off a few times and can change a clutch in few hours.

my cousin bought a zed and clutch went so i said to him to bring it round will do it.

all the bolts holding exhaust on just wanted to snap everything was a nightmare.

its all ok to do bits until things wont undo and its so easy the 2nd time round lol.

pull the motor from what i understand it will take about the same amount of time to do unless you knwo exactly what your doing. and if you pull the block you can sort so much else out while your doing it rather than sort that out and in 6 months time have to pull it again for something else. pull it out and do all those things that take five minutes with it out but ages with it in. plus the fact something has caused the turbo to die, if for example its oil starvation you will be in a far better position to safe gaurd yousrself against a reoccarnce.
