As some may know I sold the Z this week, I had resigned myself to the fact it wouldn't sell and I would end up keeping it and finishing everything on it. But the buyer came through and has been chasing me to collect.

I started the car up this week to check it over to find a leak in the rad, l: that being the case I'll keep it and sell the EVO.

So gutted on losing a sale but it gives me the winter to rebuild and perfect all the engine layout bits I'm not happy about, I may even got for a target of 600bhp!

shame the sale fell through mate, but no evo could ever match a (possible) 600hp Zed... I look forward to seeing your progress.

I wondered why your EVO was up for sale.Bummer mate but I believe things happen for a reason, so maybe you are really meant to keep yr Zed

Stick a head gasket sniffer on it to be sure, mine should have been fine but it picked it up straight away even if none of the normal signs are evident. Jimmer has just done mine so it should be on the road real soon.

so it should be on the road real soon.

Looking forward to seeing it. It 's been a long time coming but surely it will be one of the best Zeds out there!

Yes im looking forward to it, Jimmer has had the heads pressure tested and skimmed, replaced the cometic gaskets and done a load of other bits. John Dixon removed and fitted the Emerald management system yesterday. Also had a catch tank fitted etc. Fingers crossed it should be a runner very soon then jst an MOT to sort out.

One annoying thing though is the brand new OEM Gearbox, it leaks if you can believe that! so Jimmer is gonna sort that as well. I cant send it back to the US so a repair is the way forward guess it is just a faulty gearbox gasket.
