WHO THE ****?

I know, I`ve not heard of them either? I did a quick search and they have come up in topic and sound ok?

Quinton Hazell have been going for years, ive had problems with their cam belts though, but clutch kits, suspension and steering components seem ok.Not sure i would use any of their parts on my Z though:thumbdown:

Hi Daz,

for the cam belt I would always use Nissan OEM - JeffTT did a useful thread about pattern belts a while back and it scared the crap out of me how bad some non-stock items could be!!

As for the water pump, I also remember another thread some time back comparing OEM to a pattern part (Blueprint I think it was). The OEM part had a much larger impeller meaning more water pumping action - given the need for efficient cooling on the ZX, I'd stick with stock again.

I doubt the costs are much more TBH mate.

Thanks for the replys lads, yep just as i though stick with the best!! Nissan FTW!!!

i work in a motorfactors which our main supplier is QH,

QH is good quaility, and they stand by their parts,- they offer a 'no quibble' warranty on their parts, if any thing breaks i.e cambelt due to a fault in the belt they pay everything.

I recently had a e36 m3 evo, clutch was slipping, so i got prices on oem, saches (from a third party supplier) and QH, QH was the cheapest and they said if it slips they will pay to change it - bmw main dealer was expensive (not susprized), sachs one was ok priced.

So the QH one arrived and to delight inside the box is a sachs clutch!, so as i find with most QH parts they are good quaility parts - the sachs clutch in the box, is what main dealer bmw would have supplied me as they make their clutchs!.

But for jap stuff, id always sell ADL Blueprint, as its good quaility and fits perfectly.

QH water pumps fail on the ca18 there is something not right with them, I think its specifically that pump, its to do with the housing, other than that used loads of there stuff over the years

I'm watching the set and might have a bid just for the idlers. dependant on what time they are up tomorrow and where I am I may be looking through my scope.......

LOL I've heard and used QH bits for AGES. Never realised it actually stood for anything

Im digging up this old thread just for Daz. I've just stuck a QH water pump on my zed, and i checked it first. impeller size is the same as the Zed and i even asked Jeff what he thought of using this brand. Jeff said and i quote

you are lucky that part is actually a Quinton Hazell unit and is the only non Nissan unit that matches the spec such as impeller size and bearing quality so I would say you will be just fine with that part.

thats good enough for me, and if it does fail ill see if QH stand by there promise lol
