My son and I have attended the MPH/Top Gear Live and the Footman James Classic car show at the NEC the last few years.

Mike Edd and Paul The Wheeler Dealers are there along with their wives, and they make time to talk with everybody, sign stuff, have their photo's taken with anyone, whereas the Top Gear team do not meet anyone, I have asked staff if they can get the Top Gear crew to sign something, I just get the answer that they wont.

We have asked Mike and Edd if they will do a Zed, and they both said they would have a word with the shows powers who make the decissions as to what cars they do, and all said that it is one of their favourite cars, so will try really hard to do one.

We personally believe them, as we have never met anyone in the public eye as they are so down to earth, really being interested in talking with and getting involved and mixing with anyone who meets them and asks questions about their cars.

I don't think there is an episode of Wheeler Dealers that my son and I haven't seen, except the ones that have not been aired yet of course, we even watch the re-runs over and over. This paid off as we won a big bag of goodies after Mike asked a question to the audience.

All the Wheeler Dealers are very nice people, and the stuff they give away at the NEC is great. Honestly, try and get to the show next year, and I am sure you will leave with the same opinion of the Wheeler Dealers as we have.

we could do with contacting them some how. I hav sent a email but dont thinks that workt. shame

Ed China isnt one of theses tv presenter - turned 'tv car mechanic',this guy was quite well known years ago in the custom car/hot rod world for his crazy car related inventions,a couch with an engine and a 4 poster bed, both road legal lol were two I remember. The show is obviously made to look like theyre selling the car to a real punter, but going by the wooden acting its obviously friends or crew roped in to act as the buyer.I like it anyway, beats alot of the other pish I must endure like' Hollyboaks' or 'i wanna be a celebrity, get me a career'

I like the show - mainly to see Edd's work rather than Brewer it has to be said.

But they'd be daft to do a 300zx. As much as I love the car i think we are all agreed the 300zx's aren't prehaps worth what they deserve. Now the whole point of Wheeler Dealers is to buy a classic motor cheaply, needing the odd job, and sell for a profit. In the 300zx world the cars are not the easiest to sell, and when they do don't represent the value they should. They are far better doing the cars they already do, that have the classic cult following - Lotus Esprit, Costworth, Porsche 911, BMW 8series to name a few. No one with any common sense would buy a 300zx to make money.
