The heaters on my Uk Z32 mirrors are not working.

 

Are they on the same fuse as the rear window, as that works fine?

 

Any other obvious places to look, as I cannot be certain that the mirrors are the originals? The motors are working fine.

They do work off the same button as the rear window demist, but it may have its own relay, it will be behind the fuse panel in the drivers footwell, if it does. Not many questions or info on the heated mirrors, maybe Jeff or Yowser will know.

I think my drivers side heats up and clears quite quickly but not the passenger side.

My question is - Does the glass just pop off to examine further or should I just leave and live with it as of course I do not want to break it?

When it was last steamed up, i turned the HRW on and the drivers side had a visible square in it that appeared and cleared the frost, the passenger side one did nothing.

I will go out now and test again.

Bye the way mine do still fold.

On another note - What about that heater control pod - you said you were going to look for?

My 1993 S3 NA 2+2 Auto JDM has heated mirrors which fold.

Snap my 95 n/a has folding and heated mirrors

And my TT does :)

So does mine, but the b*stards don`t work.

The drivers gets warm to the touch and is perfect but the passenger does not, methinks the glass in that one is not heated type as it should be but does it just pop off for me to check - does anybody know?

The glass does pop of, but you have to be careful not to break the plastic clip on the rear, mine came of , ok ,

Really! I always thought Jap cars only had folding... hmm mine should have heated as well then. I did try it tonight and it didnt seem to work, but then again my heated rear screen doesnt work either - Might have to go on the hunt for a fuse or relay!
