to be honest, you will really need to get an after market induction kit and a nice exhaust to compliment and get the most out of the chip.

Induction kit : up to £100

Exhaust : £250 upwards

Blitz is a well repected source of induction kits. That is their basic model.

Next up their range is the BlitZ SUS Power air cleaner. Make in Stainless steel which lasts forever. Not cheap tho.

I am about to list one for sale at reasonable price.

PM me if interested.

Needs to be asked.....where did you get the 70bhp chip from?

Like paul said, get it breathing well then start looking at the more expensive stuff.

Induction kit and Exhaust would be the first places i'd adress.

it was on the car when i got it, but there is an invoice for it, ill check where it was done tonight

Exhaust is what im trying to figure out now, depending if its LWB or SWB shows a range of different exhausts.

If LWB the most common id say is the Japspeed Catback you'll find on ebay being sold by 2fast2cool. Other than that theres a mongoose system. All the other good stuff is either Single exit, or is in america which costs about the same ammount as the exhaust to ship. They all Claim to have around about up to 15BHP gains, but im no expert.

Japspeed exhaust link.

Not too sure on the SWB side but id deffo be looking at the HKS Hi-power the divorsed exhaust looks the SEX!

= HKS Hi-power vid..

Then you have the opportunity to DeCat it, which also claims up 15BHP and obviously no cat = free flow = better breathing, but if its a TT your Turbo seals dont perform correctly and can start to degrade, and if its an N/A you lose backpressure which results in loss of low rev torque.

Japspeed DeCats

I think im going with the majority with the Japspeed exhaust sounds nice and not OTT, if i dont ill be having a custom made exhuast.

As i said im no expert on the subject so if someone who knows a little bit more than nothing on the subject could correct me if im wrong id appreciate it :batman:

Could someone confirm the decat affecting low end torque on NA's ?

I was pondering doing a cat gut when i installed my headers...

a Decat is still very beneficial to your car t2p, allowing the gases to escape faster at higher revs, im sure it just affects torque in the low rev range, the benefits far outweight the cons.
