cant find any more recent pics of the engine but it had clear pulley cover and greddy belt/pulleys n shit

That's lush

I've had many cars over the years; but there's only a few that I've been really attached to........

Back in the 1980s (a year or so) after I passed my test, I had a 1978 Manta Berlinetta Coupe; 1900cc with twin Webbers and a PMC exhaust system. I loved that car for a while.

In 1993 I bought a 6 month old Toyota CarinaE GTi 173bhp - again; a lot of car for the money. And fun; plus it was my introduction into japanese performance cars.

Around the same time I decided to re-invoke my childhood memories and I bought a Series 2 Jag XJ6 as well. It was indigo blue with biscuit leather and polished chrome work - awesome car; 4.2 litres and it looked like a bank robber's car from out of The Sweeny!!!

My 2nd Mk3 Surpa also has a place in my fondest car memories; it was a 1992 J-spec special edition 3.0 turbo with a targa roof and digital dash. In black - and it reminded people of KITT....

Then of course both of the ZXs I've owned have had a lasting effect on me; which is why I still own one.

And my daily driver is a superb car; laugh and call it girly if you will, but I love my SLK350 as well. It feels great to drive and goes like stink - in fact I've been so impressed with it over the last 3 years that I'm about to take delivery of a nearly new one in a few days. It will be dark silver, has 305bhp and will cover 0-62.5 in 5.2 seconds....

....plus that retractable hard top is a superb piece of engineering and the build quality is excellent!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I really loved my MR2

and I have a soft spot for my old Probe - gorgeous colour, lovely front end, nice side view, hideous backside lol and rubbish performance!

I loved my old GTi mk2, didn't really want to sell it but i was going back for my final year of uni and i couldn't afford to keep going on the payments so it had to go and made a small profit on it :)

Very very tempted to get another as a day to day tbh :headvswal

I had one of these, but unfortunately threw money at it until I decided I couldn't trust it to get me from a to b without breaking down :(

Absolutely loved it though, maybe the seats have yet to be beaten? very bucket like for standard car

They are fun cars, like the colour of this one! I'd definitely have another one, tubby next time tho

Mine had to be my 1986 Nissan Bluebird 1.8 turbo.

Absolutely loved and and would kill to get my hands on another one.

Only got rid of it because the turbo went bang and i didnt have the space to rebuild the engine :(

loved my old Alpina B2.5 (8 years ago)

Megane was cool aswell (5 years ago). first car i ever really customised myself and worked on. was loaded with everything, DVD, Freeview tv, harddrive, carputer, TVs, bispoke/custom LED tail lights/headlights, etc etc

Also had one of these, was a nice car.

It's in the great scrapyard in the sky now..:crying:

I like that :cool3:

I wrote this last time this subject came up.......

My old 1981 2.8 Injection Capri.

I really should never of sold her. Although I replaced her with another 2.8i (5 speed) it was never as good as my old 4 speed. Even an XR4i (3 door), which was a lot smoother and in much better condition, was still no match for the fun I had in the first 2.8

But I've got to say that my current Alfa Romeo 156 is getting very close to being my fave (after Eliza obviousley!;) )

i had a 205 gti but did an mi16 engine conversion i had the rarer alloy block not the later iron 1s, i was proud of that as they were like rocking horse shit, sad the day i got rid of it to this day i do regret it, i always wanted to get a turbo put on it, it was a 2.5k conversion from turbo technics but never got round to it, later found out the guy i sold it to wrapped it round a tree and it was dead.

Every person i knew who had a tubby ended up in a ditch somewhere

Very skittish in the wet and the turbos were even worse - in the dry though they were amazing cars!

This is the car i gave up for my Zed and somtimes i regret it because its a completely different car!

they are notorious for being a bit tail end happy and as I'm still a member if the MR2OC, I can confirm that many owners do indeed gift wrap trees with their twos......

Loved it tho, would have another one tomorrow

Yep, they can be a bit tail happy in the wet, mainly when you 'let off'

half way round a corner, the weight shifts away from the wheels and

as if by magic you are facing the opposite way round!

Great in the dry though..:thumbup1:

Have attached pics of my sierra,

if they aren't showing maybe a mod could help me out???

Can't be arsed setting up photophucket account - sorry

Absolutely great car, would out corner the Z all day long...

Until the dreaded tin-worm gotta hold of it...
