Was looking at a number of cars on the net (no apparent reason!) when it suddenly dawned on me how similar this interior looks to the Z32. Infact, it looks like a natural evolution of the gorgeous interior that we have in our cars.

 

Pity the 350 or 370 could not have had this.

 

BTW, it's from a 2005 Mercedes SL500.

This one is certainly more fussy, but also has some nice modern touches. The basic architecture is the same.

Yep, the angles are almost identical, as are the sweeps.

I though about adding a 350 console to the z as i think alot of its wasted on vents lol.

Getting the sweep close is the key, a bit of fabrication to the side panels and it could look nice.

Sorry for the confusion Ian....

 

......ZX is staying put - it's only used as a weekend/holiday toy and I simply couldn't give that up!

 

My black SLK (current daily drive) is being replaced by a shiney silver one; but I haven't got it yet. MB dealer is doing the cherished number transfer for me and they should be transporting it down from somewhere oooop north next week!
