Imagine: A special edition Z32 is getting released next week....

.....and you have won a competition to adapt the design.

What changes would you make?

I thought this could be a fun thread! You're not limited to existing fenders/spoilers/parts etc, you can let your mind run wild.

Now let's have no posts saying 'but it's perfect already.' We all know that isn't true. The minute you change an air filter you're adjusting the basic car so we'd all be guilty in that respect.

You can do this in paint or photoshop, or just tell us what you'd do. Steal design ideas from another car? Make your own? If it was up to me (using this pic as an example);

- I'd smooth the join just above the petrol cap cover

- Smooth the sideskirts into the car much better

- Remove the rear spoiler

- Elongate the headlights

- Put on a 'maranello' sytle hood, like this one;

And on the 7th day I would rest.

most special editions in sports cars have things removed . in other words they are put on diets . i,d remove all the nonsense from the car and probably lose 100kg or more . then give it a nice set of 18,s , big brakes and a revamped interior

Might sound odd, but I would like the whole car to be rebuilt top to bottom using the same basic formula, but everything to be revised with the latest tech offerings.

So New tech tubs and engine parts

New large brakes with modern ABS, traction control, ESP etc.

Nice expensive 18/19inch alloys.

Same chassis design, but built with latest and strongest materials to make super light and super rigid.

Keep the interior pretty normal, just fit with more bespoke materials and chunkier seats.

Car must retain stock 99spec look with 18/19inch wheels.

Not alot then!:hang:

Yes fully agree, and going on what the big marque manufactures do it would look like the pic below...called the sports series....and cost an extra £10k over a standard one!!!

jeff , off topic i know but on that deluxe supersport model are the scuttle panels a reverse of normal .

lhd.

All exterior panels aluminum

chassis would have to be carbon fiber

brembos as standard all around.

more modern engine materials to bring the ware down and the weight.

remove all unnecessary extra weight (have you felt the weight of the center console surround?)

redesigned 89 spec spoiler as i don't like the 99spec. using better materials for a lighter weight.

one piece prop already

ABS

traction control

Double din head unit with sat nav built in

zoned air conditioning

Heated seats as standard

make the 2+2 slightly longer by about 3inches, to give a bit more room in the rear for legs.

leather on all interior panels with stitching showing (love that look)

stronger center arm rest lit. and a choice of light or dark dash trim. (everyone retrims the same part, id like to do the upper part that doesn't get retrimmed.)

Duel electric seats as standard

I keep the look the same as its perfect.

I'd like the enitire car to be made from Carbon Fibre but then Painted so it doesn't look Chav like "Look at me, i want people to know i have carbon fibre on my car so i'm going to leave it and not paint it"

I'd also re-work things like the front nose and spoiler. Maybe take the 99 spec nose but add a different front splitter on it, A new discreet side skirt and a new rear bumber.

Then some nice 18" wheels in Silver with a Chrome lip. :)

Righty then.

Money no object obviously....

- VG38dett from R35 GTR + transmission and rear diff

- R35 GTR hubs, shafts and brakes

- standard body panels replicated in carbon fibre - Gunmetal Grey

- full race interior with Stax digital instrument binnacle

- Fully stressed strut to strut roll cage for structural rigidity

- Hydraulic operated rear wing (a la Veyron) to mimic 89 spec

- Rota GTR alloys 18"

- Nitrous (lots of it)

When I find that bloody ticket from Firday's Euro draw I'll get on to Sumo Power and get things rolling...
