hi there i am new to this forum and just bought a 300zx yesterrday night and didnt like it!

i need a drivers electric grey leather seat (whit ishh) the back rest aint moving back or forward

i need the trim bits that fit on the inside of the quater panel both sides

the strip that sits under the front wiper

the gear box is automatic on a twin turbo and when i drive it ... not until i get to 5000 rpm the gear dont change?

Hi and welcome to the club. The problems you appear to have a very minor, but to make life easier for yourself, go and see Jeff at Zedworld, he is down the road from you in Tamworth. He can stick on the diagnostics and sort the problems out for you. Also is likely to have the bits you need as he has a lot of breaker and secondhand parts.

is the power button on . if its a jap car theres a switch on the box . for normal driving set the switch in the middle

The most common cause of the seat back not working is a failed switch, the motors are very robust and rarely fail.

A new switch can be salavaged from an old seat and should cost you no more than £25

Commonly required as the plastic goes brittle, again second hand expect to pay around £50 for the two parts.

Easy one used again expect to pay around £35

Often engine set up can interfere with the correct gearbox operation, often a simple throttle position sensor set up will sort it out.

 

As your in Birmingham there a few breakers that do Jap stuff, try around the Alum Rock area.

 

You might find with a few of the problems sorted out you will come to love your zed.

ok mate im a mechanic but not the best and i knw some specialist in zedz aswell i will try and see if i can get him on here he knoows them inside out apparently and thanks for this little bit of help the car is a 1991 h reg its cost me 700 and its taxed moted til the end of the year

the only little concern i have it the gearbox souns like a minor i use it in hold atm because when i put it on normal it automaticly goes into power while tthe switch is on normal, lets see what happens when i show it to the zed specialist and then i will lett you lot know aswell what the situo is i am doing it up as a project

When you floor the car or hit the accelerator fast/hard it automatically goes into power anyway. How are you driving it? Normally or concrete foot everywhere?

ok i still aint had time to get intouch with the specialist about the zed i also noticed it has got a tranny oil leak, slow leak and i am trying to drive it normal but gears changing with delay like 5 k rpm and if i try to make it change sooner i have to like let go of the throttle tap it and then let it change, in hold it drives ok but i dont like the pickup in there

Your best bet would be to get it to Zedworld. have it checked over Jeff will advise you on a course of action.

 

Get some photos up as well.

i will doo its a project i have bought it for any chance you can get me jeffs details?
