Just thought i'd post a couple of pics of the interim install on my Slicktop. I will update the amp and sub at a later date as and when funds permit. The amp is running the sub and also the Hertz co axials up-front. I also have JL components in the rear Bose boxes. The amp cover and false floor are still to be carpeted, and i'll probably cover the sub as well, most likely in acoustic cloth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

When i do upgrade i shall build a box (maybe 2) out of 18mm MDF that'll be scribed to fit in the corners taking a 10" sub. This will do for now though and if the spare is needed its a case of unscrewing the two wires from the sub then just lifting that out along with the two sections of false floor. Simples!

 

 

 

The false floor has to be cut into two sections as the SWB boots are wider at the bottom than the top! I shall probably add a layer of memory foam underneath too.

buy the way, how did you get your rear centre panel 300ZX red? is it just sprayed on the inside? like it, like it alot.

Bump for RobHughes. I modified the design again subsequently. But this one shows the false floor best before it was covered (page 1). The SWB boot is wider at the bottom than the top, hence being in two pieces. Not sure if the LWB will have the same problem??
