loosing fuel pressure when engine off

Where is the check valve located for the fuel pressure , as my zedTT is loosing rest pressure straight away as soon as I turn the engine off.Pressure I'm getting is 42psi running, disconnected regulator vac pipe and it goes up to 52psi so pump pressure is ok.but within a minute after shut down it goes to zero, checked for any leaks and can't find any of the usual leaking pipes??

this is probably why it takes some starting (longer cranking over than normal)

I have no idea you can look at the fuel pressure. I know its pressuriesd but I didnt know that you can see what it is.

Sorry

I don't think it's a hose/pipe that's leaking...you would notice that and you'd have a very strong petrol smell around the car.

It's probably a bad fuelpump, leaking injector(s) or check valve, so I think it's best to find out which part is causing the pressure to drop.

You'll need to cap off the fuel line before the fuel-filter, and measure the pressure there. (after cranking the engine a few times).

If the pressure still drops, it's most likely a bad pump or valve...if it doesn't drop, it's something in the rest of the injection system (probably injectors)

PS: loaction check valve (in the circle)

Have you checked the fuel filler cap? Just a thought and easy to get to! Dunno if they ever leak but only takes a second to see if it might be broken.

Thanks Eric at last a drawing to work from!!

by the way I had already elliminated the engine side by capping it of hence my suspicians of the check valve, as from my experience with other cars gave the same symptons. I think its time to crawl uder the car and loacate the valve and remove hopefully it will come apart , usually the spring is broken.
