hey everyone, with only 4 months left till my first baby arrives, i was wondering, is there any way to get a child seat into a zed? the lad i bought it off said he tried and couldent lol. so does this mean i have a great excuse not to get my car covered in kid crumbs lol, or do they make a seat that will fit?

oh yeh, weve got a mondeo too lol, i wasnt gonna just make the wife walk and carry the baby everywhere lol

Not to sure on the z cant see why not , but just read reviews on the seats and pay for the best one

I went through the same thing some months ago and the short answer I'm afraid is NO, unless you put the baby in the front seat, and your wife in the back.

Put simply, it simply isn't worth it, especially if you have another car.

The whole point of going out in the Z in for fun and enjoyment, and that is simply not possible if the baby is in the front and your wife is squashed in the back behind you...moaning and groaning. Then there's the pushchair yadayadayada.

Can't wait until mine in old enough to sit in a forward-facing seat in the back. Counting the weeks...12 more to go!!!

 ?? i managed to get a baby seat that attaches to the buggy in my Zed, i can even get 2 booster seats in with enough room for the little ones. (although one was made specifically for the Zed)

Shop around, baby seat will go behind the passenger if you adjust the front passenger seat forward (depending on what car seat you have) though i suppose it helps that my lady is only 5 foot 4inch's high, so less worry about leg room i suppose.

But i have 2 children, one 2 year old and a 8month old. i can fit both in the zed with the booster seats as well.

I can also get a buggy in the boot of my zed with 2 small suit cases and close the lid.

But if you have a new born get a harness to carry little one close to the chest, that way you can eliminate the buggy.

If I remember correctly there is a thread somewhere about making a temporary f/g infill to fit in the rear seats so that a child seat would fit easily

But the location of the thread I don't know

One for Carmad to make LOL

Thinking about it I think it was made in expanding foam using a plastic bin liner to initially spray the foam into and then it was levelled of at the top

or along those lines

My custom made one has a fold down part under it, so it sits nicely in the bucket seat (Booster seat not car seat)

get a car seat with the rocking motion and it fits snugly in the bucket of the rear seat also.
