For those using an ALC with their auto box ...

Forgive my innocence, but what is an ALC?

Line Controller. It is a box that you install between the auto box and its management computer. It changes the way the auto box operates increasing line pressure etc providing a more positive gear change.

I see, Do they come standard with the Jap spec Autoboxs? If not what could i benefit from by fitting one, and how much are they?

They provide a quicker/sharper gear change. They also increase the limiter on the gear change by about 100-200 revs I think. They usually become necessary when the car is running greater HP than stock. The ALC is an upgrade hence they are not standard with the auto box.

Check out the numbers in the US contacts section...

I used to have one of these fitted to my previous auto Z.

It cost me $285 from the U.S.

I know a couple of people using these on their Z's but I don't completely agree with what HKS claim.

There's only one way to go with the auto gearbox for the Z - LEVEL 10.

Maciej (Z-Viking) has the LEVEL 10 upgrade and he won the fastest spring time in Holland with only one turbo working at full pressure!!

Better get saving! lol
