Just reading the post about riding in a Ferrari 360 and thought I'd share a horror moment I had in one.....

 

My son's best friend's dad had one and he came round one day to pick him up from my house. While chatting to him and generally shooting the breeze he offered the car saying 'go on take it for a spin'. I declined but he persisted until I thought 'probably wont get many opportunities to drive one so what the hell'.

 

So off I go in it - F1 gear box and LHD. Great fun until I get back to mine where he is waiting outside my house chatting to my Mrs. As I pull up outside my place I KERB BOTH offside alloys REALLY BADLY !!!!! F*CK F*CK F*CK !!!!!

 

Possibly the worst moment behind the wheel in my life !!! He was really cool about it and wouldn't hear of me sorting out a refurb or anything. Top bloke !

 

Does anyone else have similar stories ?

I had the back-end of an 8.3 V10 Viper step out on me at 85mph... in a straight line :shock:

 

I was overtaking a pick up at the time and ended up going past him at a pretty wild angle, bet it looked good but I was shitting it lol. :oops: managed to correct me little whoopsie though lol.

When I left school my first job was as a car salesman for a used car lot in Portsmouth. All our cars were pieces of crap that were tarted up so we could sell them. I remember a silver mk1 fiesta that was part exchanged. It was a one owner car with low miles but they lived right on the sea front. It was the most rotton car that I have evr seen holes even in the middle of the doors and wings, it was a scrapper really.

 

My old boss said no.. thats not a srapper we will re spray it stick some pug in it then it will be a decent one owner low milage car. It came back from the bodyshop and looked good in the showroom. A customer came in and I took him for a test drive, It was a hot summers day and he spanked it down the motorway. We both opened our windows and a few minutes later there was a loud creek and a bang. The rear window had poped right out the back of the car. We pulled onto the hard shoulder and all you could see was filler and newspaper round the edges of where it used to go. OMG I was really stuck for words my low milage beautiful car had been exposed for what it really was a rustbucket filled with paper and filler.

I have another bad one that sticks in my memory

 

I did a PADI diving course, and on the last evening before the final dive I had food poisoning. I was on the crapper like ever ten minutes all night, I decided to do the last day to qualify.

 

I was on the last dive of the day when I got real bad stomach cramps.. you know the kind where you just have to go. I thought no worries I will just swim over here and pull my shorts down and go as there was no way I was going to make it back to shore. I discretely moved away from the other divers and pulled my shorts down. In a massive belt of painful relief I emptied my load. Just as I was finnishing a load of divers started poping up underneath and around me. It was a dive instructer a bloke his mrs and his daughter. OMG they must have been surfacing and seen me having a dump above their heads whilst showing all.
