anybody with a 99spec front bumper...........have you had any trouble trying to fit it? did you have to remove anything to fit it?

Just i got mines sprayed etc and went to fit it and its quite a struggle to get it on. So had to bolt it on with a couple bolts and leave it the now until im home from work.

Just wondering as it is abit of a struggle and i was pulling and pushing and lifting etc etc............

Does you car havE standard or aftermarket intercoolers? Mine required a bit of modification because of its big ass front mount. Other than that it went on oka although it was already fitted when I got th car it only came of during the respray.

As above - fine apart from the IC ducting - I cut the inner corners to open them up a little. All fits fine apart from that :)

Yep, same here... the intercooler ducts will need modifying a little (or fit proper 99 spec ones) and i found that the polystyrene was a bit tight!

Can you buy 99 spec bumpers new or are they a rare 2nd hand find only ?

i removed the polystrene completely, is this a good idea?

 

I assume it must be my ducts that ar stopping me getting it on then, i have standard intercoolers.

Is it a bad idea to remove the ducts or should i just sand it back a cm or so?

Just when i was trying to fit it i thought it should go straight on as people have said.......not with a struggle.lol.

the plastic bumper behind may be catching on the foglight bits

hi mate you have to shave the to[p and bottom lips off the reinforcer and relocate the little brackets on the bottom of it to the side a bit more for the open mouth part should slip straight on then hth

i had to shave some bits because of my front mount intercooler but otherwise it went straight on! did you not try it for fitment before you had it sprayed?

Yes they are available new, hard to find 2nd hand.
