I managed to get the injector plugs on properly as it turns out i was on 5 cylinders up until now.

The car is soooo smooth on idle and pulls quicker.

Then i tackled the DET sensor Bypass....... the car is running how it was when i first got it....... then once bypassed it was a Whole Different monster!!!

boost quicker aswell seeing as the ignition is not retarded no more so everything goes quicker :)

its a damn beast now and im still only on 7psi.

cant wait to get it on stock boost for casual driving and 1 bar for hot days next year.

I am SOOO CHUFFED!!!!!

i will be telling my wife to go easy in rain as she is the main driver for work to keep mileage down

It;s definately a whole new car now

Did you recieve this car back from the garage running on 5? I thought it had been to be looked at by a specialist?

i was at the garage when it was finnished and it was runnung sweet but damien was told that there might be teething problems as it did arrive on the back of a truck with lots of bits already removed and not running, but did say to always pop back and absolutely anything and everything would be sorted...

What difference does that make? When Paul at swz stopped trading i took over 3 jobs.two engine builds and a manual conversion in various states from partially stripped to totally in pieces. Some had been sat for months and one job had been apart for years,They never left after with a full "oh well see how you go" warranty.Very rare by the time i see a car its running, usually its engines blown, has major running issues or doesnt go at all and 90% + arrive on a tow truck so that last statement is rather lame.

For the record the car was running on all six when it left the workshop.

blimey.. whats going on here.

In response to posts here.

1. car came back running on 6, i just got used to running on 5 from not having car on road for long and was advised by Darren that the loom is pretty much foobarred. I think ive been running on 5 for a couple of days after i got my car back but you can see my plugs are pretty much non existant and i asked darren to do what he could in the short time i needed it back in. I didn't quite notice the drops though as my exhaust is crap and made it hard for me to tell properly and for some reason the engine is still fairly smooth when the clips popped off and found it hard at first to notice

2. I have had many Teething problems and whilst it has been a bit of gripe for the last few days ive had help from everyone including darren and pretty much got the car to a nicer running state.

Overall i am happy with the work Darren has done and although its been a hectic few days recently i was advised my car will change alot over a week as things bed down. I did panic as i naturally am a panicker but most of my problems come down to my loom and without paying for one i think darren did what he could with my gremlins.

Its been a rough ride since last having the car on the road in august 2009 but for now the zed is back.

I hate arguments :(

I feel like i should apologise to all on here.

I posted on here for help because i was contacting Darren every 5 mins with "somethings wrong" and decided to do the things that darren would do, myself.

I wanted to try and diagnose faults myself and see if i can fix them myself and learn about the car abit.

The car did come out running ok but i wanted to sort out niggles as they arrived to save darren hassle and to be productive.

Got a hand from Santa with other things which i am also grateful for too and from other members who emailed me offering help (thankyou everyone)

I sorted alot of the niggles with darren and Santas advice and have got here in the end.

I didn't realise that my posts would give people false ideas about others or myself and i am truly sorry if all this could of been avoided by not posting :(

I hope we can all learn to get along.

Many Wishes to Darren and carl for the work carried out, Many thanks to Santa for coming round and helping me and many thanks for everyone else who offered help or had concerns.

Your all a nice bunch of people

Regards

Damien

jammer,is he new on here then? How it leaves doesnt mean owt if it breaks down the next day does it.If i was in any doubt of a possible problem caused by a faulty plug/connection id have changed/cured it to make sure they left and stayed happy.Thats how i am though. That extra time can save your customer posting constant problems after his departure such as this one.Theres always Tomorrow but only one today.THINK ABOUT IT.Im sure a follow up call when his car ran like shit went a long way :whistling:

Jimmer you clearly have an issue with me ! If so contact me direct .

I have over 25 years on these cars.I was here when it all started years back.:)

You dont know me.So why do you feel you have a right to slag me off on here?

This is the difference with me you see.I inform my customers of issues etc advise them in the correct manor and give the best advise i feel is required at that time.

Other wise i would be taking advantage of my position and could always spend thousands and thousands of my customers money on things on there car. which i dont always feel is required at that time and can be delt with if a problem becomes an issue.

As damien has said he is happy with my work and what i have done for him.

And as i have said on here before sometimes not all the facts are present when a post is made on here. And people can take the wrong view of things.

And many comment just to try and big up there own agender

Which i dont do.
