Looks like my car has been taken a run after the mot today. Was wondering if any you guys know where I stand with this?

Not worth the hassle this just keep getting messed about over these cars. Just getting fed right up.

As I said - I know cos I have done it myself! Its still wrong to test a vehicle with an LSD in the rollers! Trust me! :tt2:

If VOSA checked on the tester carrying out the test they would get points against them. We could argue all night abouth if it is possible to do it & yes I know it is possible, but it is still not the correct way to test as instructed by VOSA!

Spoken like a true mot tester.Thank god i got my head out of my arse and left testing :tt2:

Hope you had a good wash after!!

Like I said, dont affect me anyway cos we have a nice computerised plate brake tester!

yeah but i read the first post he put up and there were 7 miles extra on the clocks, im sorry if it only takes half a mile at the most to check the brakes, it is taking the p*ss a bit! and if it was thrashed and redlined it could of caused damage that you may not notice untill a few weeks down the line, at least confront them and ask them why craig? they owe an apologie at least, let alone the fiver fuel the car probably swallowed.

Well said mate,it doesnt take a qtr of a mile to tapley a car.

I honestly don't think anyone would be happy with someone "road testing" for 7 miles unless they had your permition and you were aware. Sorry but I'd be taking this as far as I could cos it's plain wrong and basically theft! Totally agree with Mid-wales-zx, what happens if it breaks down next week :(

Sad to hear another story of people not being able to be trusted.............

mine will be in soon, hopefully anyways... Already thought of this, not gonna take my eye off her for one minute, and if it has to be done then i WILL be going with them or i'm taking it somewhere else, end of.

I will sleep on this probably came down in the morning, give zedworld a ring.lol.

It's just annoying that something ur hard earned goes into can easily be taken away by some **** trying to have fun. But sounds like its been done right

Just noticed Little REDZED had wrote about me getting a bit hyper about the road test a few years ago. We all know how it is ,due to how we feel about our motors. Don't like anyone driving MY motor unless I'm aware of it going to happen. BUT , fair play ,I can remember vaguely through the red mist that the reason was as several have said "brakes needed to be tested on road and not on rollers." So I felt a bit of a twit:wacko:

Still not nice not being informed the car is taken out but end up the day brake test only takes a short drive.

I'm booked in with zedworld now anyways and I am more calm and really looking forward to taking the car to Jeff and the crew for some spa treatment.

that would drive me mad craig! i always book my MOT's for the Z so i can be there to help!!

dan.

Totally agree with you mate. Wish Jeff & Jamie were based closer to me as I wouldn't think of going anywhere else regarding the Z .

It's going to be I think 5 to 6hour drive to take the car to them. Not looking forward to it but im sure the drive home will be fantastic!

I take mine to blackmoor service station in tydsley for m.o.t's, due to trouble like Craig's having, knob head revving car to around 5-6k on and off while rolling 30 yards to a ramp, all this with me watching? why is it people who work at garages show no respect.

Road test isn't part of an mot vinz. I'm just really pissed of about this. My hard earned cash doesn't go into a car for somebody else to hammer around the roads.

i took mine into a local garage when i first got it for a service . when i went to collect it she was bloody red hot and one of the younger mechanics told me that it had pissed all over the owners subaru down the dual carriage way. so im guessing it got top ended . needless to say i aint been back since . luckily i discovered zedworld just after . now theres a place you like you car to be test driven

Not nice, I've had the same MOT tester for the last 10 years, even though he's switched garages a few times and now has his own. He does road test LSD cars, and considering I've had a GTR, V12 Jag, 2.8 Capri, 2 x BMW 525s and a 325, plus a few other nice motors, I'm sure he would have loved to take them out for a jazz, but he just pulls onto the road, gets up to 30/40mph, tests the brakes and comes back, every time. A good MOT tester is just like a good woman, bloody hard to find, but when you do, you don't let them go easily. :D

Dont go back, book into a trusted garage in future and arrange a time when you can be there while they test it. Happy Days.
