Hi I have a J spec TT and need some advice on front brake pads.There is EBC Red stuff fitted at the moment.The car has grooved discs fitted.Are genuine Nissan pads ok and is there any differance between J spec and UK spec pads ?

It depends what effect you are after......

 

.....genuine Nissan are just fine; although Mintex are a good stock replacement and don't cost too much!

 

JeffTT sells the Mintex pads; or you can try Mike at MJP for Stillen ones. I've had both and they do the job just fine. Although Mintex are half the cost of Stillen.

 

If you want the best though, I hear that Porterfields are the dogs danglies....

 

Uk and J-spec are the same BTW!

Agreed, I got some Mintex pads here on ebay and they are good as gold with my drilled discs. :p

That's a good buy mate!

 

I had mine fitted by Jeff along with some nice new slotted/drilled discs; the whole thing was about £250 all in!
