This has got me thinking, on the side i used to wash and leather my mums next door neighbours merc, Really down to earth guy, i would never charge more than £20 for a complete polish, but he would always pay me £50.

i wouldnt argue, but he, regardless he would pay £50, His company was OCS (office cleaning company) i knew he was worth a few quid, but never how much. dressed like anyone normal man, wasnt brash about what he had, owned a 4 bed with a pool, and had an old 560 sec merc.

about 4 years ago he says to me, Stu im in the times rich list, have you seen me. To my amazement there he is. All £112 million, ranked number 405 in the times rich list 2005. I bumped into his son the other day, and sure enough he still owns the company, and said "im doing okay" Nice guy, him and his dad, still very good friends of the family, but you still wouldnt know, worth a fortune..........

Anyone else know some of the rich guys in the UK.???

A guy who i do a lot of building work for in Southport, owns some exclusive nursing homes, along with owning almost both sides of a whole street, he has 2 f430`s, 1 Enzo, 3 Bentleys, S-class AMG, E-class amg and some old rolls royces, and a shed loads of oher cars i`ve never seen. Nice guy too, and drives a 10 plate Mazda 3 for his daily drive!!!

My Dad's mate owns a very well known lawn treatment service he started off with one van a mower and mobile phone around 10years ago, now a millionare two homes Uk/Us, 7 cars and all the company sold in to franchises

I know quite a few rich people really, having been lucky as a kid and going to a posh school. I guess the richest person i know would be an old mates dad: David Samworth of Samworth Brothers (they own Ginsters amongst others)

 

He was ranked 155 in last years times rich list - down over 50mill from the year before, but higher in the rankings surprisingly.

My friends brother is a multi millionaire,,,got into the property market b4 the prices took off,,,,had about 90 propertys rented out,,then started his own building buisness.,,,lovely bloke as well,,got a bit chubby though.

I don't know any really rich people, but I know a lot of happy people - and we all know money can't buy happiness.. (what a load of *****cks!)

 

My best mate stands to inherit a small fortune when his dad passes on (hopefully no time soon) - has a home in Canada and an Island in the Carribean (yes, an island) he drives an 20 yr old Ford F150!

 

If i were rich, I'd have a different Lambo for everyday of the week, a girlfriend half my age (oh, that's nearly the case now...:tt1:) and sail around the globe on my massive yatch. Then die from alcohol poisoning 5 years later...

Lets face it being a millionaire these days is hardly like being in an exclusive club. 10M + is what you really need to aim for these days if you want a life long worry free standard of living??.

My farther is the richest person i know he owns a fair few bob and lots of property's, not that he ever gave me any. but he did help me start my own building company which i cant complain about. the lottery must have made a fair few millionaires.

I fitted a conservatory on Cliff Richards house in surrey, an extension on Mr DFS's place in Doncasterfor a swimming pool, met princess Di when I built a swimming pool in Chester, met Richard Whitley on calender with a ferret, Tiff Neddle took me round Brands hatch in an M5 on a test day, but i'm not sure if any of them are still worth much?????
