Save your money and just fit a lightened pulley/flywheel, tubular manifolds and tt injectors and you'll be pulling alongside stock twin turbos, making a nicer sound, have much more grunt lower down and believe me from owning both you'll love your na more than you ever thought possible :)

Im doing all of the above, except the TT injectors, ive heard that the injectors wont make much difference on an NA, overfuelling problems etc. obviously a remap would be needed, but interested to in your thoughts mate.

If somebody is willing to do it for £500 and he has a lot of z experience and you know and trust them, then snap his hand off.

Your looking at more like £1500 labour typically, plus about £1000 in parts (or a complete donor vehicle)

Yeah I think its looking like closer to those figures, not the figures Marc has in mind (and incidentally he wrote this initial post, I was having a cuppa downstairs with my mate!). See if it was an MR2 I know people with enough expertise locally to do a conversion - I think its highly unlikely that a run of the mill every day mechanic would be willing or able to undertake a piece of work like this - so then we're looking at a specialist and that makes it far more costly. Lets face it, if it was really a financially viable option, lots more people would do it surely?

Bantambunny's suggestion is VERY interesting tho......
