Months of not working on the zed, what with new baby and doing up the house.

 

Had a play with the zed over the weekend and now runs on 6 and sound sweet.

 

Not yet put on the exhaust and have noticed oil coming out of the manifolds, nice puddles on the floor.

 

Is this engine rebuild time???

What makes the oil come out of the manifolds?

As you know, i am no use technically but if it's moral support you're after, i'm your man. Don't give up bud. It'll all come good in the end. The best things come to those who wait. Take your time, do it right and enjoy.

That is a pisser, could it be leaking from somewhere else?

 

Did you sort the gearbox out?

 

Dont give up, I know its sometimes the easiest thing to do. Look at the stinking luck that I have had as well. If its not one thing its the other!!! just let me know if you want a hand with anything, happy to help you out doing anything I can.

Looking to sort out the engine 1st, run sweet as just loads of smoke out the back end.

 

Soon as I have the engine running as it should be then looking to change the gearbox.

How much oil are you finding in them? Can you see inside?

Juts little puddles of oil, if it was a few drips it would be ok but this is a lot. should be downpipe not manifold .
