Had an offer of 12 grand for my 350Z today. Before I consider it I will need a replacement, any ideas????

 

Can be any type of car as the other half has the practical wagon. Open to suggestions as I just have no idea really LOL.

Well if it were me, I'd try and avoid anything mundane..

 

What are you going to use it for? Or is it just for fun?

 

Personally, I'd like a bash in an Jap Impreza Spec C. I've heard very good things about them, but Ive never driven one. But I have had 4WD cars and the Spec C is one of the best of the breed - so worth considering.

 

If practicality is not an issue though, but you want real driving pleasure - what about a Caterham?

 

I'd have an (V8) M5 over an M3 any day, M3 just feels slow after a Zed.

 

Or, alternatively go for a proper off-roader. Fully customised Defender 90 with all the toys - yee haa :cowboy:

like a nice suspension set-up or a bit more power.

Scooby/Evo - no; common as pigeon poo and nothing special IMO

Porsche - no; you'd not get one good/new enough for £12k

 

So that leaves the other German suspects - BMW/Merc/Audi..... maybe - but again IMO nothing good is new enough at £12k...

 

How about a Vauxhall Monaro? V8 power and quite rare; you can buy a nice 2006 example for less than £12k....!

Your never going to get anything as excitiing as the z. What you after? Smooth cruiser for everyday use, getting shopping etc? If so I would say 330 or 325 and if u get the e46 shape then u will have a very sexy car but with money left over for a nice Holiday. Tho I do lile the brera myself. I have thought about going For one but it would be hard selling my zed.

If practicality isn't an issue then how about a VX220? Should find a turbo for that sort of money. Wish i had the choice to make!

The car will be my daily driver for work and for smashing round europe with the wife. She is keen for me to get a convertible, however she dont care what I get. In her words she has the sensible shopping car so I dont need to.

The car has to have a wow factor, it needs to be as quick as the 350Z and not a common car.

if its pure toy you could get a nice V8 TVR Cerbera or something similar sounds awsome

the handling on the limit is better than zed in fact overall (even if the zed has uprated suspension mods)

performance is pretty much the same stock v stock if just abit more raw dont listen to anyone telling other, drive one for yourself at length and decide on that.

 

TVR Tuscan is a stinkingly fast car, great car if you can live with the build quality

I think the Monaro would be a good choice too.

 

If you want it even more exclusive, have it rebadged as a Pontiac GTO or a Holden :)
