Hi need some help in clacton Essex. When I drive my 91TT turbo

In a straight line the rear snakes left or right when going over bumps or change of road surface, but is fine when cornering. Is it the hicas joints, fluid or pump. Would I be better with eliminating bar?

Thanks bjorn

first of all make sure you steering wheel is in the centre position whils driving forward as the hicas is controlled by a sensor plate on the back of the wheel i had same problem with mine and had to move steering wheel round to fix it, if that fails to cure it (or your steering wheel is ok) jack up the rear of the car and check for play in all the joints i had play in the hicas steering joints on the rear on my last zed also causing similar problems, also check subframe bushes (these will be leaking a horrible oil/silicone type gunge if failing) and if all else fails if all the joints seem fine with no play etc get the 4 wheel tracking checked

Also a typical behaviour when your rear shocks are u/s.

My Zed was exactly the same when I bought it in may,

Replaced n/s/r hub bush, n/s/r/ HICAS arm and new rear shocks - feels much, much better now. Whole lot cost about £500 quid at Zed World.

Would advise you to get it seen to befor it spits you off the road..

Cheers

i have the same problem and have been driving it like that for ages. you gotta be so careful in the wet because it really can spit you out. need to get to zedworld, they also quoted me about £500.

Thanks for quick reply, it's been sitting for 2 years and not used

Just had it's mot but the rear shocks are very bouncy. I will also jack the back up and check movement with the arms. I replaced the sensor on the steering wheel so think that's ok.

mine was exactly the same as above. n/s/r o/s/r outer hub bushes also both hicas arms. so i just bought the eliminator lit from z centre.
