New Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. (fastest car in the world)

Featured Replies

268mph is fine if you have your own private test track with 6km straights. But really, the top speed is about as irrelevant as my pre-nup agreement with Paris Hilton - it ain't never gonna happen (yes, double negative - who cares), what was far more impressive was the way it accelerates to 200mph.

Always remember reading about a chap in Germany who bought a Macca F1: the factory called him as the car's telemetry seemed to be sending false speed recordings. Turned out he was actually doing 200mph+ every day on his commute to work. So while 268 is probably too fast for any road, how quickly it gets to 200 is probably still relevant..

As an engineering exercise though, its peerless

Autobahns get pretty empty when everyones at work no white vans in the outside lane like over here :)

I saw two Bugatti Veyrons within a couple of minutes one evening last week . Just the old bog-standard £1,000,000 ones though . One was the white+chrome one I`d seen before (pics on here somewhere ) . The other was black .

On Sunday afternoon I saw the world`s most expensive plate ,1 , on a red Roller . About £7 ,000,000 I think . Google " Number plate 1 "

ugly as sin dont care how quick it is, if i was given one i would sell and get something else

Here, here

I second that - imagine what kind of garage you could assemble with that kinda money. Reckon if I spent 100k tuning the Zed, I'd be able to match the in-gear grunt, if not quite the overall acceleration (4WD will always beat 2WD off the line). Would be far more unassuming too..

So that would leave a hefty 900k for other projects I'd always dreamed about, hmmm, might have to start another thread...

And sorry to say this, but the SCC Ultimate (...P.o.S) is truly awful. Slap yourselves around the face and take another look at it - it's dreadful in every way. The only time it looks at all decent, is when it's suspended 30ft in the air by a scrap yard crane:lol:

If money was no object I'd definitely have a Veyron - As Jeremy Clarkson once said, it's a one off that will probably never be repeated.

Sure, there are one or two other 250mph cars around now but they are more like stripped out racing cars. The Veyron also has the refinements of a GT car like a/c, a hi-fi etc etc; making it quite a nice place to sit if you want to blat across a continent in a few hours!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
