Hi

I tried search - did not find much.

Has anyone actually installed an Accusump, and if so where did they choose to connect it?

I have an external oil rad behind an oilstat so I can 'T' it off before the stat, or I guess I could plumb it into a spare port on the sandwich plate..

.. But was really looking for opinions/other peoples experience regarding same (JAP TT).

Any help appreciated. :cool3:

Fittng mine on the sandwich plate.

Ant, did you ever figure the oil flow rates for the TT?

I have found reference to between 2 and 12 gallons per minute on a US site but not sure if this is right! (9 litres - 54.5 litres) Therefore a 6 pint' accumulator could give from 22 to 4 seconds protection, I assume much longer at lower RPM's.

And with your sandwich plate fixing - will you use a one way or check valve as well - or not?

I just bought a 3 quart Accusump. Im thinking about installing it from the oil cooler, does anyone recommend a better place? Dont fancy the sandwich plate tbh.

If installing through the oil cooler would it have to be plumbed in before or after the check valve? anyone know is the z32 has a check valve near the oil cooler or even where it is?

Better still, Slick Pete has got my SpecialtyZ baffled sump and would probably make some good copies if you ask him nicely :)

I think there is a threaded port near the oil filter so i could plum the accusump into this, seems easy enough and saves the bother of buying a check valve.

Andy have you fitted yours now?
