....to Andy Isherwood and Mark Silverbullet for helping me fit my refurbed R33 GTR brembos yesterday!!

It took a fair while...mainly due to hangovers and a bit too much banter/messing about but the sun was out, the pizza was ordered and we had a laugh!!

And an extra special thanks to Andy for doing such a sterling job refurbing and painting the calipers!! Absolutely brilliant finish and I'm SOOO chuffed with them!! :thumbup1:

Thanks again fellas!!! I've stuck some pics up (apologied for the poor quality!)...

lol...too low!! You'll notice the front skirt is pretty badly messed up thanks to various bumps and humps!!

I'll also add that in the pic of it looking low, it's actually half on an incline so looks a lot lower than it is usually!

ah i did think it was but its still low lol and i noticed the gaffertape lol brave! my old car ripped off a u clip from the exhaust on its maiden voyage never been a big fan of speed bumps since

alright mate .

what paint did he use on your calipers . any chance of a write up

It was this stuff mate

he put on 4coats and the finish is fantastic...almost like glass...though the 4th coat was very hard to dry and needed a fair few hours in the oven! I'm sure if you ask nicely Andy may do a write up....:tank:

good job guys... did you re-use your existing discs and pads on the rear calipers?

Nope, rear pads were too small. Discs - were actually in ok condition but stock so just changed all over to the R33 discs. Calipers are a great improvement but need to get some new pads and discs in now...

Which reminds me....may have some bits up for grabs soon (need to renew subs first!)

so the r33 discs fit straight on the rear too? would the 300zx discs work with the r33 brembos on the rear? how do they differ?

Yup, they fitted straight on. They weren't that different in size to my stock discs to be honest so I imagine stocks should fit the r33 brembos. My discs were slightly thinner but I reckon that's just from use.

I've not been too bad..just keeping busy with the new job. As for the zed...same old same 'ole really - something breaks, I fix it! lol. Main barrier recently has been sourcing locks as my keys got stolen during the break in. Now that's sorted I can sort a few other things out...but summer is always busy and very short on time!

Might try and get down to some meets soon...there must be a few left in the next few months.....

Im not so keen on meets they can be a bit boring, i prefer the track now. At least we are doing something with the cars instead of looking around then spotting imperfections and being told whether they are nice or not, BOOORING lol however the over night meets can be fun :)

Lol...I know what you mean but some of us aren't lucky enough to have their Zeds in a good enough condition to let loose on a track :crying:

Let me know next time you go though as if I'm free and can make it there, I'd love to come along and see what all the excitement is about (I'm talking about the pit days of course!)....
