right has anyone run a Z on 10w-50 oil before?

my whole cars been stripped back, new gaskets turbos, feeds and various other mods, ( its not finished yet as have run out of funds to get the last few bits, )

have been offered some Silkolene pro s 10w50 at £36 for 5litres oil on a group buy with my other club and wondering how the Z would cope with it.

Good oil.

Its not with oilman (opie oils) is it ? He is on pretty much every forum out there (including ours).

Apparently Tesco is selling off their old stock of Mobil1 0w 40 for £16 for 5 litres.

Would that be any good?

Silkolene pro s 10w50 is a really good oil, i use my zed on tracks etc, so i need a good oil, Mobil 1 is water, and i ran castrol in my old S13 and it never really worked that well

i just want to know if 10-50 is ok for a zed lol

Morrisons are selling Castrol 0-30 for £9.49 a litre

Noooo! a "30" grade is too thin for a ZX when the engine it warm. That's more like the grade needed for more modern engines with less wear and tighter mechanical tollerance! Nothing less than a "40" hot grade for a ZX - 0w40; 5w40 or 10w40 is within Nissan recommendations......

Yes it will be just fine - especially on a TT with some engine modifications!
