Wheel nuts

Has anbody had any of these on there car?

i have read good reviews and bad reviews about these aluminium. inodised nuts.

Some say they are poor and dont do well with high speed and can sheer off etc, some say they are good.

then the quality of the d1 wheel nuts seem to be a let down that when trying to put them on they just end up scrapped etc.

Tho......the ultralite ones seem to be pritty sought after. just wonder any anybodys thought about the good and bad reviews of them?

Why the fluck do you want blue lug nuts? Get black or silver ones. Coloured lug nuts are horrid.

My lug nuts have been fine in the 5 years I've had them on the wheels on my car. They are just regular slim-line bolts.

I've got D1 nuts on mine, they are very light and strong, they do scuff quite easy though, but just be careful with them.

Half of which appear to have fallen out. :wack:

I think coloured lug nuts look pritty smart to be honest, so i was thinking on going for the blue ones and doing the calipers blue then getting a black badge for my nose panel.

They look gay....so do painted calipers. Keeping colours to a minimum/neutral is much more pleasing to the eye...besides, why draw your eyes to something as dull as lug nuts and stock calipers. You want the focus to be on the car overall, not having your eyes drawn to ruddy wheel bolts!

I just think it will give my car abit of colour, there isnt anything i would say draws your eye on the car. i think with some nice deepish dish rims and colour nuts would look nice and if kept clean give a good look to the car........im not so sold on the caliper idea but almost 100% on the lug nuts.

There isn't now obviously, but there will be when you put blue lug nuts on it!

Silver nuts will look so much more clean and slick. When you look at the car, you want to see the car overall. More pleasing to the eye.

hmmmmmmmmmm..........

ahhhhhhh i dont know now what to think. i do think all silver would be nice.....tho i do like somethign in there to be of a colour, just fancy some of the lug nuts instead of the tired out worn old looking ones.

Then get new silver ones. They will be fresh and neat.

It was just some advice that was all. Your car is no multi coloured drift wagon. It's a very clean looking silver Z and personally think that adding bits of colour here, there and everywhere will detract from the car

The exact same thing is said for engine bays. The best engine bays have neutral colours. But consist of black silver and chrome....if done like that, it's soooo pleasing to look at rather than having different coloured hoses and stuff everywhere.

certainly food for thought!!!

But atleast the d1 nuts get a decent review i suppose on this site, which means i wouldnt be scared to buy them.lol.

think ive sourced newer wheels now so just need fresh nuts ( will go wash mines) for the car and should have it nearly set minus a new bumper.lol.

after losing my locking nut key and the problems i had i will give them a miss! i like the blue though!!:thumbup1:
