3 weeks ago i had a o/s/r hub swap as recommended by z world instead of changing the bearing. so i had the work carried out by z centre. and the other day the n/s/r wheel bearing has collapsed :( ive checked out all my service history by previous owners and the bearings have been done before. recenlty 2006. has anybody had these problems with there zs??

Bearings do go on them, but it's not a regular thing. I've only had one bearing become noisey in the 6 years I've owned mine.

As Funki says, i have had 1 rear bearing go in 7 years of ownership, and expertly changed by "jimmer".

I haven't had any problems with the wheel bearings. In fact I've just refurbed a rear sub frame and the 19y old bearings are spot on and didn't need replacing (the grease rings did though). You may just have been unlucky with yours.

Snap!!

Infact, that's the ONLY time my Z has failed an MOT!

premature bearing wear is 9 times outa 10 down to the seal not getting fitted right or damaged by drifting in a careless manner

I've never had a wheel bearing go in 5 years and 3 zeds.
