Take a look at his journal, it was black like mine

Thanks's for posting this Sir Charles! Thanks guys glad you like it :) :)

Got to get the MOT, timing belt and ancillary belts, water pump etc done then once it's on the road there's a few little bits to finish off to the exterior inc a 99 spec spoiler and some 99 spec rear lights at some stage :) After that I plan to start on the interior, full leather and fit my aftermarket gauges to the pillar pod, then it's time for coilovers and engine fun. Can't wait for the 1st Aug to tax her and start driving her again.

Thanks again

Matt

If you listen to the audio, it actually says he's replacing the wiper arms and scuttle panel. Nice one! :duffer:

Silver/chrome/polished wiper arms look terrible. Will look great with nice new bits there. Nice and fresh.

Smooth tailgate with no spoiler and reflective strip, definitely the look to go for. I even like the original rear lights and centre panel, just goes to show sometime less is more!

You gonna get the wiper arms painted and a new scuttle panel?

Correct Si! I got a quote from the parts dept in work yesterday, probably order them this week. I'll also be replacing the rubbers around the car eventually. I'd get it all done now if I didn't need to pay for the timing belt, service and MOT etc but i've got to get those done 1st as I think they take priority over looks of the car.

It will be done tho, I didn't plan on spending lots of money on getting the paint work done and renewing the wheels to have those spoilt by the rest of the worn exterior parts. All in good time :)

Nice one mate! Shall be one of the nicest on here before very long! Nice to see.

You thought about getting the arms shot blasted and powdercoated black to save on costs?

Thanks Si! :) I hadn't thought of powder coating there's a company close to where I work who do it so I'm on the case lol

Do it, whilst you're doing it, get stuff like the PAS pot done (to get rid of the green) as well as any other assorted metal engine parts/clips/whatever. :)
