single din cd slot

hey guys,

 

i just fitted a single din cd player with a moterised screen instead of a double din so i could fit some gauges in the bottom slot, but it is no where near the standard size gap and i cant fit my panel for my gauges in to it. does anyone know of a place to get one or is it a diy job??

    do your gauges fit tho? i'm only asking because I have 52mm gauges, haven't offered them up to it yet, planning to do the same thing as you very soon, was going to buy one of thos din things, maybe not now... I think I heard somewhere that there are a couple of different sized dins, which doesn't make much sense... Let us know how you get on matey...

    The top din of the console is larger than the bottom and you may find you need to get the dremmel out and do a bit of trimming. Most single dins will fit, its the facia surround that comes with the stereo that the problem lies.

    yeah i bought 3x 52mm gauges, which ive no just taken out the box and they will fit in the gap. this centre console is quite annoying :glare: it takes so much time for what you think will be a simple job lol.

    im going to just start again and have alook, problem i have with using the bottom one for cd player is the screen will block the gauges, so not much point in them being there. yeah did have a bit of hassle with the surround facia
