Got a slight drip on garage floor from rear center of engine.It is sort of light brown with a bitter taste.Any ideas Peeps.Checked all fluid levels and there spot on,I.E Brake,clutch ,power steering,engine oil,rad.

Gents, If you mean a four poster bed...with you girls blowing back from the rear front centre...i am more than happy to watch!

 

In terms of your problem, I have not got a clue.

I will get it up on my mates four poster friday and have a look see.

 

I didnt know you had posh mates who slept in four posters.:drool:

 

Anyway stop hopping in to bed with yer mate and get the car fixed.:innocent:

Could be clutch fluid or oil from the crankshaft rear oil seal (hopefully not).

 

Is that the seal you normally change when you renew the clutch Bud ?

usually mate yeah, but as you described it, could be gearbox oil from the front oil seal on the box, have you been under it and had a look where the drip forms? if it's where the bell housing meets the block, likely to be one of those two... if you've only had one drip, i wouldn't worry too much, just keep your eye on it... even brand new cars develop very slight oil leaks rather quickly...

I'm to old for wriggling under cars LOL.should have it up on ramp friday.We changed the gear box seal when I had my clutch renewed.
