Picked up my 1st Zed today ! Take a look in Rides under zx-eyes as its Isaacs car I've bought.Top bloke honest and helpfull all the way.No disrespect to him but need to make her mine and at 43 she's a bit too wild looking for me even though the bits I want to change my 11 year old son loves. Right heres my to do list. please give me your comments.

 

1) put a 99 spec spoiler on (am buying a tailgate with a mid level in the meantime in matching grey)

2) redo the wheels with shadow silver or gunmetal grey middles and Hyper Silver rims or new wheels alltogether

3)uk rear bumper

4)smooth side skirts from car mad

5)99 spec headlight inserts

6)all stone chip shit on bumpers removed and whole car resprayed in origional colour

7)series 2 dark interior trim

 

look forward all your comments

 

If anyone reading this lives anywhere near brentwood essex and knows their shit about 300 Zeds and would be willing to take a look at my car and explain and advise me on a few things I would be really gratefull

I agree about the UK bumper though - I'm in the middle of changing my UK one to an import! you are welcome to the UK one for free though if you want.

Sounds like some good plans! Not sure the skirts will be too chunky and out of proportion to the stock rear and 99 front....

I agree about bumper but dont like the red side lights.Have vjust bought some clear ones on here so have scrapped the idea of the uk.If i dont like the clear can they be filled in without failing mot ? .Also re the side skirts am also not 100 % sure but have been given a set.Si how hard is it to get rid of all the stone chip on the bumpers and sides ???

The corner markers are not even in the MOT, so you can do whatever you want with them.

 

The stonechip on the bumpers takes quite a long time. Well, the front does anyway. I have the original front that I had smoothed. The sides are piss easy as it's basically a bitumen stone chip protection, but the plastics are moulded that way. It takes time and you need to be careful not to go too hard at it with the sander as you'll very easily give yourself lines and low spots.

yep good overall car .sounds not to loud handles well and engine feels nice and tight with no rattles.Isaac said hed put the boost on high for me to have fun on the way home and was a bit disapointed compared to the evo fq340 I had before but played about with it this evening and realised it was set to low now big grins all round.gave it a real good clean and its a nice straight car but as isaac said needs a respay to be mint.Hate the tweed and im afraid to say getting a little bit used to the gold rims.really looking forward to making her mine but hats of to Isaac for getting me 90% there !

had the hicas light come on on the way home after about 10 mins ??? but am thinking of ditching it anyway

Only real complaint (isaac did tell me)no fking aircon (told me it needs regassing) so sweated my *****x off for 2 1/2 hours lol

turned the cruise control button on and light came up on dash but have no clue how to set ? also on the aircon there are 3 buttons underneath one says off which even i got but the other 2 i'm unsure ? think one is recirculate air the other i presume is take in air from outside ??

Welcome mate you got a good zed from Isaac the three heating control buttons are air con, normal air and all off as for the cruise switch it on at the dash then once at the required speed press the set button on the steering wheel remember it wont work under 40 I think it is

unless the horn function does it as sure as hell it dont blow the horn !!!
