couple of pics from soft-top sunday at goodwood this morning

Headed down to Goodwood this morning around 7am hoping to burgle the zed onto the track along with all the other soft-tops...it worked! One of the stewards said, "I no your not a soft-top but go for it!"

Another massive turn out for the breakfast club at Goodwood. Really good morning...the cars were more than half way up the Lavant straight which is a record number of cars.

Anyone else there? Saw a couple of people take pictures of the zed so i was happy!

didnt even no you had to register...

everyone that thought they had a chance of getting on the track or in the paddock was just arriving at the gate and getting directed onto the track. definitely worth the effort for it next time in my opinion. Unless you buy a £1000 bacon sandwich its a free day!

And Stu, will definitely let you know next time. I was saying at the time it would have been so much better having another zed there parked near mine. Safety in numbers!

It's also an American car, possibly Capri but may have had a different name under mercury or something. Laser perhaps? i forget now lol. Also looks a little like a Pontiac Sunbird.

You are also correct.

The Ford Capri name was revived in Australia in 1989. The Australian Capri, codenamed the SA30, was an entry point convertible. It used Mazda 323 engines and mechanicals which Ford Australia had adopted as the basis of the Laser. It had a bodyshell designed by Ghia and an interior by ItalDesign.

The Australian-built Capri was intended primarily for export to the US. Exports began in 1991, as the Mercury Capri, and sales briefly exceeded those of the MX-5, but then dropped rapidly, so production ceased in 1994.
