OK, it may look a bit marmite I'll admit it - but I just took off my double exit RS*R exhaust and fitted up my Kakimoto 3" decats and 3" single exit exhaust system - it's not quite as loud as I'd have hoped for but dear god it sounds AMAZING!!! Very much like the infamous 2JZ note, really round tone - (best way to describe). I'll get a recording as soon as I can!

Should listen through headphones, no major booting but a little bit of boost :punk:

We need a thread with videos of different exhaust notes, I've got Fujitsubo Giken twins at the mo and they sound pretty unique.

Back on topic guys.

OK - single exit zorsts suck!!

Couldnt agree more. But thats just my opinion ;)

Best exhaust ive heard so far is the single exit hks super dragger. I prefare the look of the twin but the sound from the single hks pipe at full boost was awesome.

thats what's on mine, i get the car back saturday so will try and sort out some decent sound clips, I have a couple of videos but the sound quality does it no justice

a former member on here from wales (some will know who i mean) had a single exit kakimoto on his swb t/t slicktop goto admit that sounded nice

I believe I know who you mean, as I think if its the same one we are thinking of, I ended up with the car.

I removed it for two reasons :

1. looked shite

2. the backbox was knackered, devoured with rust and blowing

It had resonators put into the system to reduce the noise though in the previous owners time.

I got a custom made dual exit performance exhaust in place of it, and I have to admit it isn't any quieter, if anything slightly louder. I prefer a more silent exhaust when you are not pushing it.

ive had both, twin and single

twin looks nice but cant beat the sound of a single exit hks super dragger, awsome when giving it abit of pedal

single exit just looks like the back box on the other side of the car has fallen off.

To be honest I think the other way, 4 pipes are excessive- nobody needs 4 pipes coming out their car. Even if it's the standard fit doesn't mean it's good. I think a twin 2.5" exit out one side would be tasteful and would appeal to those who like twin exhaust if set up with a dual-pipe system. The only downer is the bumper has holes for 2 exits :(

Much worse than 1 exit though in my eyes is dual cannons!!!! They looks ferking RIDICULOUS like a show saxo.

Nice set of twins or ovals is what looks best imo

I think you one of the very very few that think that :lol:

same here and agree 100%

Hate them, sounds like arse in comparison to the lovely offset burble of the VG and looks awful too. V6s with true twin systems sound so much better than inline 6s.

The GTR and Supra straigth6's are famous for the sound. You can even see people's jaw drop and hear groans of sexual satisfaction when one revs past.

You wont ever hear talk of the VG's V6 sound though.

My supra sounds no where near as good as my zed. The supra just drowns like i bitch :hammer:

Completely disagree....the amount of people who've said to me 'your car sounds absolutely gorgeous' is quite high. GTR does sound good....as it's a V6.

Find inline-6s sound droany.

Never thought the RB sounded that great as much of a good engine it is...and the 2J sounds pretty decent. But I just don't think they sound anywhere near as nice as a VG with a 'quality' dual exhaust system.

I prefer single but I'm biased, not the best recording in the world as my phone is a bit pants
