OK, it may look a bit marmite I'll admit it - but I just took off my double exit RS*R exhaust and fitted up my Kakimoto 3" decats and 3" single exit exhaust system - it's not quite as loud as I'd have hoped for but dear god it sounds AMAZING!!! Very much like the infamous 2JZ note, really round tone - (best way to describe). I'll get a recording as soon as I can!

Hate them, sounds like arse in comparison to the lovely offset burble of the VG and looks awful too. V6s with true twin systems sound so much better than inline 6s.

nope I'm firm that the car sounds much much nicer over my twin exit system. Obviously though it's all down to personal taste at the end of the day :-)

They sound Amazing. So much better than the VG Dual sound. Totally transforms the driving experience...you no longer bother with the stereo, you just grim ear to ear from that single exit sound making the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end

its just a pity they look shite

Been in both, heard both via driveby and on hard launch. I've more interest fitting a dual system to a 1.25 Fiesta than fitting a single exit to a Z32. I'd rather sell up.

it was either this or one small muffler in the middle and unmuffled 3" pipes out either side at the back, but this came up at a good price :) Just a shame it's not that loud (really surprised me given its only got a back box and 2 small bulges in the rear pipe.

a former member on here from wales (some will know who i mean) had a single exit kakimoto on his swb t/t slicktop goto admit that sounded nice

i had single kaki on my old swb tt and it was fookin' loud...sounded lovely at times but conversation inside the car was a non-starter

Had a twin exit on mine when I got it and didn't like it at all, almost to the point of wanting to sell the car, then I saw an hks superdrager for much cheapness on eBay and remembered the sound that made on my n/a so I snapped it up, fitted it and loved the car again, twin exits only sound nice if they have a X-pipe, I do love the single but admit makes the car look odd, IMHO the seperate system twins sound terrible, bit like having two 3 cylinder corsa engines

Really looking forward to hearing the sound clip! ;)

I had a twin exit kakimoto on the last Z and still trying to find one for this.. I'm not bothered in the slightest about having one pipe out the back.

I suppose it depends on what system you've bought! How well it's been designed! And what you consider a good sound.

My Mongoose (2 x 3" exits per side) sound just fine, I have no X or H crossover and I'm happy with it. It's good for long motorway drives (that I remember ;) ) and it's got a good enough 'burble' when idling.

Although saying that I am installing Megan divorced downpipes and de-cats, which might make a bit of a difference :D

I'm not too fussed what it looks like it's the sound that matters to me

Whatever. :p
