There are 2 behind the plastic strip above the stereo din and there are the two in each corner of the top vent, behind plastic covers. It will then lift out, there are some spring push in clips, if you have all the screws out, these are what is holding it in. Just pull it out and it will lift out of the clips. HTH

Cheers Graham mate.. I've got all the screws out, just went to pull it forward and the top right of the console comes out a bit - but is still held in.. and the left wont budge.. the clock is still in ... All i want to do is take the stereo out :-/

Its held in with clips, just pull it, easier to start from the bottom where the clock is.

sorted it out thanks again :) -(problem 2) when i'm fitting in my new head unit.. looks like the connector blocks are different to what is available :-/ is there different wiring looms or something?

There is an Nissan ISO plug loom available, what that does, is make the connections from the car, then you have to crimp, chock block etc to the new stereo. The wires on the ISO are labeled, so it makes it easier to connect to the wires on an aftermarket stereo.

You have to pull it quite hard, it will pop out. I know it feels like you're going to snap the fascia into a million peices, but the clip will pop before the consol cracks.

Seems like a good spot to just say as anybody got the top right screw cover?

I have had one but have looked high and low for it and its nowhere to be seen!!!

Over the months I have acquired a spare for the top left and the long centre screw cover though.

Some money of course awaits. :tongue_smilie:
