had my boat out yesterday for 1st run since re-biult motor and she runs good..got to run a small prop to give her a 10 hour bed-in period so you get a lot of cavitation and prop slip when getting out the hole but at 4800 rpm running a measly 23p high 5 prop ime still getting just under 50mph so fitting a bigger chopper prop and running 6800 rpm should easy see 70 mph as these motors produce peak power between 6000 - 6800 rpm:wink:.Anyway for those intrested its a marshan 19ft with a mercury XR2 race prepped motor..V6 and 2 litre's of a 1992 vintage. going out sunday to finnish off the bed- in period Wahooo:sailor::boat::cool3:

Once the Z is sorted the next job is to rebuild the engine on my Phantom 21 but I'm not sure it will ever get done!

Nice one Bri.....

.....I spent the day down on the coast yesterday and decided that I definitely must get myself a boat:tongue_smilie:

Trouble is, the type I would like would cost ££££££s so I reckon it's a no no for the forseeable future.........

........unless my father decides to help me out, or 6 numbers come up for me very soon.....:blushing:

Richard:surrender:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

tell your father he can use it and the sea air will prolong his life and that you'll pay him back when your 6 numbers come up...simples:tt2:

Hey Si; no! we just drove down to Porchester for the day. We're back in Cornwall on Saturday 5th June though - if you're around we can pop in for a cup of tea on the way down (or back up on 12th...):cool3:

LOL - I've already told him that I'm buying a new Aston Vantage when he corks it so he might think I'm pushing my luck with the boat while he's still around!! (Although, of course, I'd rather he was still around but at least the car would be a consolation.....:whistling:)
