What on earth is this, and where does it go? How does it attach to anything because there's no screw holes for it

Where does this screw to? It's loose and is the thing that kept banging every time I slammed the door :smash:

A bomb that got disconnected?

Have no idea what the first thing is. The black box at the bottom is a relay for the windows.

Screws into the door below the handle bracket.

Cheers Si I'll take a look when I put it all back together

Dave,

I've still got to take my drivers door card off again yet for the arm rest, so I'll take a photo of the exact location of the window relay for you.

As for the other thing I've never seen one before, but I will have a scout-round, just in case I've missed it before.

Incidentally, you got a hell of a butchered wiring loom there!!

Oh yeah, when it comes to putting the door card back on I'd suggest removing the bottom seatbelt anchorage point, as it'll make it a hell of a lot easier.

If you're not sure of anything just give me a shout (you know how) and I'll run you through it... I've had it off loads of times! (funahh!! ;) )

First pic, It's not a receiver for an aftermarket alarm is it? Just an idea as I haven't seen that before.

Got my door cards off at the moment will have a look see and will report back with pic's

I'm not sure - I'm pretty certain its nothing to do with the system I have installed at the moment, but perhaps its an old alarm or something.

Thanks BigH. :)

A moment's confusion with the title... didnt think you knew what an O/S door was LOL

As Si said it is the door relay, searched hi and low with my flexable mirror thingy in the door skin and couldn't find anything like the other pic I'm afraid,

Wouldn't think its after market as the connector looks OEM to me, unless it's unique to the Jap cars?
