Drilled and Grooved Break Disks Query

Hi if drilled and grooved break disks were not fitted to the car as standard is it legal to fit them for use on the road in the UK?

I am sure people do but I want to be legal, the last thing I need is the cops on my case.

    No problems at all, most have upgraded to grooved or drilled or both, it helps with cooling and brake fade
