Brake Query

Good afternoon!

I have noticed that I am getting a fair bit of judder when braking and that I get squealing when braking from low speed.

The brake setup is from the Silver streak (R33) and the discs and pads were replaced about two years ago. There doesnt appear to be many miles put on the car since they were replaced but I dont know how they were treated when they were on the car. My local garage has suggested that the discs are slightly warped hense the judder but I was wondering before I start outlaying more money if theres anything else that could cause these issues?

Many Thanks as always!

Dave.

Pads or discs Dave to be honest are the main culprits. If for instance its been braked fairly hard then held at a stop with the brake depressed, the excess heat will build up in that area of the disc, if it has been done on a regular basis then it will have created hot spots on the disc which can lead to distortion in the disc. It may only be very minimal, but enough to cause a judder later on
